Exclusive Services
for Men

Getting up in years is a part of our life.

But it should not take a toll on your quality of life or happiness.

If you are experiencing unwelcomed shift to your energy level, mood or sex life, there is a solution.

Andropause

Aging-related hormone changes in men are different from those in women. Unlike the more dramatic reproductive hormone plunge that occurs in women during menopause, sex hormone changes in men occur gradually. A man's testosterone levels decline on average about 1% a year after age 40. Some men may dismiss certain symptoms as just a consequence of getting older, but such symptoms often reveal insufficient levels of testosterone and other hormones including DHEA and thyroid hormone.

Evidence Suggests

Research has begun to reveal a decline in both testosterone and sperm quality and production in men in industrialized countries across the globe.

Testosterone and healthy optimal blood levels have a profound relationship with optimal health in men. Lowering testosterone levels are related to diseases such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes. Testosterone is responsible for healthy neurological function and improved psycho-social and behavioral dynamics.

Individualized Approach

Regardless of why you have an imbalance in your hormones, you do not have to tolerate the discomfort. Our hormone treatment program addresses those hormones that most impact your quality of life and aging process: testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, DHEA, and cortisol.

Our functional medicine practice aims to help you reach optimal health through individualized hormone therapy, which is customized to address your specific needs and goals. In addition, we frequently combine Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) with a multi-dimensional approach that may include particular dietary changes, antioxidants, and nutritional supplements to address concerns with weight gain, inflammation, and nutrition deficiencies associated with the aging process.

Customized Treatment
Program

Bioidentical Hormones are made from wild yam and soy and they are chemically identical to the naturally producing hormones in human body. Our provider will make a recommendation that is best for you based on evaluation of your unique symptoms and a thorough review of blood tests.

There are few different forms of Bioidentical Hormones. They can be prescribed in a form of pills, creams, injections, or pellets. We will discuss all options available to you.

Our provider will continuously monitor your hormones level and review the symptoms alleviation. Treatment will be revised as necessary until the optimal balance is achieved.

You should plan to stay on hormone optimization treatment for the rest of your life if you wish to receive all therapeutic benefits. Cessation of therapy will revert your body to its prior, low-hormone state.

Hormone Replacement is Not for Every Man

Hormone replacement therapy is contraindicated for men with active prostate and breast cancer and for those who have certain heart and liver diseases. Men who want to father children should not receive testosterone replacement, as it can lower sperm counts and may cause infertility. With that in mind, there are other types of hormone therapy that prospective fathers can receive, including those involving human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG).

At the time of initial consultation, our provider will discuss with you all benefits and potential risks and side effects of BHRT to help determine the best treatment option for you.
